Upgrade Policy

When you buy a copy of Lotto Hat, you will get minor updates and bug fixes for free. Minor updates are updates of which the first version number has not changed. So if you buy Lotto Hat v1.x, you can upgrade to any other version v1.x free of charge (Example: If you buy Lotto Hat v1.16, upgrades to v1.2 or v1.3 or any new version that will starts with v1. will be free).

Major upgrades are indicated by a change in the first version number. So an upgrade from v1.x to v2.x is a major upgrade. Major upgrades usually have a lot of improvements and new features. Therefore, you will likely have to pay an upgrade fee if you want to take advantage of a major update. This fee is typically half the price of the product. We do reserve the right to give you major upgrades for free as well.

However, if a major upgrade is not free, you will never be forced to upgrade and you can use your version forever. However, you will not receive any further updates with improvements or new features. And if you originally bought v1.x, you can still buy the 3.x upgrade even if you did not buy the v2.x upgrade.

Results updates policy
Results updates are free. US and Canada results are updated 5 times a week (Mon-Fri), other databases once a week. We reserve the right to change database format in which case you will need to upgrade to latest version. We also reserve the right to add new database or to remove existing or to change timetable for results updates.
